FILMING GUIDELINES - PERMANENTLY CLOSED 9/12/2011 Trail/Tour Open topped mining vehicle (Boss Buggy Shuttle) drives visitors 1850 feet into the mine (400 vertical feet). Group disembarks to hear talk in safety chamber, then climbs stairs and walks through drift (tunnel where gold bearing quartz has been extracted). Visitors descend stairs and take Boss Buggy drives them back to the surface. Availability Every day, year round. Call or email us using the contact information to the left . Equipment Handheld cameras fine. Good walking shoes recommended for traction. Environment Wet - some stairs and handrails may be slippery. Temperature is a constant 64°F with high humidity. Lighting Mine is lit for walking tours, but additional lighting is recommended for picking up more detail.
